Is txting ruining ur knwldg abt da Eng. language??

30WwzZ ph0w$zzZZXSH. It's truly a pain in the eye, even I can't hold it anymore. At its first surge, I  cried, LITERALLY. I just can't see the point of making your text messages and chat conversations longer than what you should. But texting isn't all about being j3j3, keep in mind that that's not the only thing we do when we text or chat.

BRB, JGH, JK, IMO.... and more. In your first meeting with those words, you would be stunned by how creative people are just to spend less time in replying or starting a conversation. Nevertheless, these words are quite a necessity for humans now, not that I'm saying we couldn't live without them, but it would be tough for us to make conversations without those words.

Since I seldom text, I really am not particular to how people text in these days. After the spread of "jejemon", I really had not much of news on how people text so I would be basing it on my chat conversations in Facebook. (I think it's not that wrong since I can imagine myself texting just the same way as I chat with my friends in Facebook.

Misspelled and abbreviated words are certainly the most common issues regarding texting/chatting. I don't have a misconception about shortening words since people have many reasons and I THINK that less knowledge about English would even reach 1%. Most of the reasons must be to shorten the time that they could use and to emphasize that somewhat, they really didn't have the energy to reply to the person they're talking to.

As I assumed a while ago, I think a little less than 1% of Filipinos shorten their replies/words because of their lack of knowledge and I think that those other 99% would have their knowledge unaffected. I think it's too light to affect the knowledge of the people. Maybe a little spelling problems would occur but I think that the basic grammar knowledge would just stay the same.

Texting was not even created to diminish the knowledge of people in English Language, nor to shorten words or replies. Mostly, it's just for communication purposes. Maybe the creativity of the people only became a factor to the disease that's been in us now. No one could be blamed. We haven't seen the extent of the worsening of the knowledge of the English Language, if there are so I think that as long as we keep in mind everything we know about English Language, our knowledge of it should not be decreased.
